Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. recently held its 98th General Convention and 119th Anniversary Convention in Philadelphia, PA, from July 16-20, 2025. The event brought together over 4,000 Alpha men for fraternal fellowship and to strategize on community programs.

The energy and impact of the event came through loud and clear to non-attendees thanks to the photos shared by Brothers across the District. From GroupMe chats to Facebook posts and Instagram stories, it’s clear that our District was well represented—and more importantly, fully engaged.

The convention provided our Brotherhood with an opportunity to handle the serious work of fraternity business—discussing strategy, attending workshops, and voting on key initiatives. But just as essential were the moments of connection: networking with Brothers from other regions, mentoring young members, and deepening our bond through shared experiences.

Of course, no convention would be complete without a little fun. Our Brothers showed up and showed out at social events, representing the District with pride and style. Whether suited up for formal affairs or relaxing between sessions, the fellowship was strong and the presence undeniable.

Below is a curated gallery of more than 60 photos of MAAC Brothers that capture the spirit of the event. These images reflect the power of Brotherhood in action—focused, united, and always moving forward.
